How Often Should You Scoop Your Yard?
One of the most common questions we hear is simple: how often does my yard actually need to be scooped? The honest answer is that it depends on a few things — but for most families, the choice comes down to three options.
Weekly is right for most yards
If you have one or two dogs and an average-sized yard, weekly service is the sweet spot. It keeps odor down, stops waste from piling up before mowing, and keeps the yard safe for kids and bare feet. It’s why weekly is by far our most popular plan.
When to go twice a week
Consider twice-weekly service if you have:
- Three or more dogs
- A smaller yard where waste concentrates quickly
- Kids who play in the grass daily
- A dog on a diet or medication that increases output
Two visits a week keeps things consistently clean instead of letting waste build between visits.
One-time cleanups have their place
Moving into a new home, hosting a backyard party, or coming back from a stretch where the yard got away from you? A one-time deep clean resets everything in a single visit, and you can always start a regular plan afterward.
